Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Kumud handles information when you use our website or purchase our products. Last updated 28 July 2026.
Information we collect
When you browse or shop with Kumud, we collect information you provide to us, such as your name, email address, phone number, delivery address, account details, order details, and messages sent to us.
We also collect technical and activity information, including the pages and products you view, items added to your bag, checkout activity, purchase details, browser and device information, IP address, referring links, and advertising identifiers stored in Meta cookies such as _fbp and _fbc.
How we use information
We use this information to operate the website, process and deliver orders, provide customer support, prevent fraud, understand storefront performance, measure advertising, and improve our products and marketing.
Meta advertising tools
We use the Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API. These tools begin collecting advertising events when you visit the website. Events may include page views, product views, items added to your bag, checkout activity, and completed purchases.
We send Meta event details such as the page URL, product identifiers, quantities, order value and currency, browser information, IP address, Meta cookie identifiers, and customer contact details when available. Contact details are normalized and cryptographically hashed before they are sent to Meta.
Meta may use this information to measure advertisements, attribute purchases, create audiences, personalize advertising, and improve ad delivery in accordance with Meta's own terms and privacy policy.
Service providers and sharing
We share information only as needed with providers that help us run the store, including hosting, authentication, database, storage, payment, email, delivery, analytics, and advertising providers. We do not sell your personal information.
Payments are processed by Razorpay. Kumud does not store your complete card, UPI, or banking credentials.
Retention and security
We retain order and account information for as long as reasonably needed to provide services, keep business and tax records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Advertising and technical data is retained according to our operational needs and the policies of the relevant provider.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Your choices
You can limit browser cookies through your browser settings and manage how Meta uses activity shared by businesses through Meta's Accounts Centre. Blocking cookies or tracking technologies may reduce advertising measurement but should not prevent you from placing an order.
You may contact us to ask about, correct, or request deletion of personal information, subject to records we must retain for legal or legitimate business reasons.
